Group Fitness Classes

 

Southtowns Fitness Center offers a wide variety of group exercise classes throughout the day including specialty classes, such as Zumba, Spinning, Tai Chi, SilverSneakers, and Boot Camp at no additional charge. Every class - from Body Conditioning to Dynamic Definition is professionally designed and led, to target your unique needs. You will not be lost in a crowd. Our class sizes are limited and offered frequently, enabling our professional instructors to spend the time necessary to maximize results. New classes are added all the time so be sure to check back for updated schedules!

Class: Description:
BODY ATTACK This high-engergy interval training class combines athletic aerobic movements with strength and stabilization exercises.
BODY COMBAT  This fiercely energetic program is inspired by martial arts and draws from a wide array of disciplines such as karate, boxing, taekwondo, tai chi, and muay thai.
BODY FLOW This mind-body class combines tai chi, yoga, and pilates disciplines. Body Flow is designed to make you feel longer, stronger, reduce pain and relieve stress.
BODY PUMP This barbell-training class is designed to give you maximum results in the shortest amount of time. Low on complexity, but high in fun, Body Pump has all the benefits of weight training including increased strength, increased metabolism and the 'feel good' factor associated with a great total body workout.
Body Sculpting This class combines the use of free weights, resistance bands, and weighted bars with pilates exercises to tone, tighten, and strengthen all the major muscle groups.
BODY VIVE This class is a great entry-level program for anyone seeking the motivation and benefits of group exercise that delivers results. Body Vive is a full-body workout that leaves you thoroughly invigorated, rejuvenated, and energized.
Bootcamp

20 minutes cardio kick; 20 minutes weight resistance training; 20 minutes abs and core; Bootcamp targets a variety of things - strength, balance, stability, core strength, agility, edurance, and cardiovascular training.

CHISEL
CHISEL is a total body workout that will challenge your cardiovascular and strength levels with body weight, free weights, plyometrics and core stability training. Push yourself to new limits by shocking your system and shredding your body fat away!!
Fit Camp

An interval based class combing basic step and cardio drills with overall body conditioning. Great beginner class!

Fusion 20/20/20 20 minutes abs, 20 minutes cardio, and 20 minutes of toning. This class offers a little bit of everything!
Group Cycling

Group Cycling classes offer high energy stationary bike workouts that enhance cardiovascular endurance and muscular strength. Participants select personal intensity levels during the woekout through body position and bike tension.  

Learn How to Zumba®!

Learn the very basics! Get a great workout while you learn the basic movements for any Zumba class. Zumba® fuses hypnotic Latin rhythms and easy to follow moves to create a dynamic fitness program.

SilverSneakers® Cardio Circuit  

Combine fun and fitness to increase your cardiovascular and muscular endurance power with a standing circuit workout. Upper body strength work using hand-help weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a ball is alternated with non-impact aerobic choreography. A chair is offered for support, head to toe stretching, and complete relaxation in a comfortable position.

SilverSneakers® Muscular Strength & Range of Movement

Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement, and activity for daily living skills. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a ball are offered for resistance; and a chair is used for seated and/or standing support.

SilverSneakers® YogaStretch

YogaStretch will move your whole body through a complete series of seated and standing yoga poses. Chair support is offered to safely perform a variety of postures designed to increase flexibility, balance and range of movement. Restorative breathing exercises and a final relaxation will promote stress reduction and mental clarity.  

Sculpt, Step, & Tone This class combines step aerobics for cardiovascular conditioning, with strength training that targets all the major muscle groups, for a total body workout!
Spinning® The Spinning® program is the original indoor group cycling program - A class focusing on cardio challenges, hill climbs, and varying speeds and resistance for all participant levels.
Strength Training and Toning

A total body workout that involves works on your cardiovascular and strength levels.

Zumba® Zumba® fuses hypnotic Latin rhythms and easy to follow moves to create a dynamic fitness program that will blow you away. The routines feature interval training sessions where fast and slow rhythms are combined to tone and sculpt your body, while burning fat.
